Founded in 2003 and originally based in the United States, Ojoba Collective is a social enterprise that relocated to Europe in 2015. They export shea butter for the global natural cosmetics industry. The shea butter is produced at their manufacturing facility in northern Ghana, West Africa.

They are committed in leaving a positive impact in many realms:

• leading green initiatives, such as climate smart farming & agro-forestry training programs, creating native tree nurseries and tree planting,
• empowering women as they work with the same women from the same villages since their creation
• building a stronger community, which can be seen with the past projects they funded for the social developments of the villages they operate in.

Their goal is to use the principles of fair trade to create healthy, empowered and environmentally sustainable communities. Ojoba Collective has been a member of fair trade organizations since 2005 and is a member of WFTO since 2017 and a guaranteed member since 2019.
