Oxfam-Magasins du monde is a citizens movement that fights against economic injustice. It champions an alternative trading model through public awareness campaigns, education work in schools, as well as through its 70 shops located throughout Belgium (Wallonia and Brussels) which offer fair trade products for sale, and which are all run by volunteers. This alternative model of production and consumption allows for a more just relationship between producers and consumers. By extension of this approach, certain Oxfam fair trade shops also offer second-hand clothing. These activities are reinforced with political lobbying and advocacy work.
