For Zotter, Austrias biggest organic and fair trade chocolate company, social and environmental protection has priority in all stages: From the production to our experience centre with an integrated organic farm, where we would like to enthuse visitors for organics, social responible and environmental protection. The complete production takes place in Austria. We rely on 100% organic and fair quality, generate our own electricity with solar power, cover the additional need for power with green energy, own a fleet of electric cars, use bio-plastics and try to convey the importance of socially economical through both our experience centre and organic farm, where last but not least we can demonstrate the viability and success of a social enterprise such as ours.
Regionally and internationally Zotter is leading the chocolate scene by role-model, as a social enterprise that is both very conscious of the environment and economically successful. The entire company is very transparent and visitors can experience live how chocolate is made, how we work and how we imagine ideal agriculture to be. According to an international chocolate test, Josef Zotter is one of the best chocolatiers in the world. His factory ranks as one of the most sustainable undertakings in Austria and his handmade chocolates are a cult article. No wonder that a visit to the factory is one of the most popular excursions in Styria/Austria. 180 dedicated employees work in the chocolate factory in Styria. There are currently 400 different items in the product range.
