Swazi Art was established in 2003 by Ines and Peter Doerfler who import and distribute fairly traded handcrafts from Swaziland and South Africa.

The broad product range spans from handmade candles, mouth-blown recycled glass, paper jewelry, high-quality batik products to delicious jams, chutneys and chili sauces.

We work with different producers (small women’s groups as well as bigger companies with dozens of employees) who thoroughly oblige to the standards of Fair Trade.

We trade fairly because we believe that only trade based on fair exchange can provide a sustainable, empowering and long-term relationship.

We have focused on southern Africa, as the poverty, social injustice and HIV related issues are overwhelming. We want to help ease some of these problems by buying from producers who not only create jobs for disadvantaged groups but who are providing a better future for their employees and their families.
